Ariels is the third studio album from the electronica band Bent, released October 12, 2004, through OpenMinistry of Sound. There is a stronger element of acoustic instruments present on the album than the previous releases, and the earlier extensive use of samples has been toned down. Comin' Back 4:39. Sunday 29th 4:09. Bent - Now I Must Remember. Ariels is a truly wonderful album. Out of all Bent's work, this album is the closest to my heart. Highly recommended, especially on lonely nostalgic evenings. In ARIELS, they apparently took a turn in the road in order to venture a change in the scenery. All I can say is: the landscape they've captured and pictured in this new album is simply mesmerizing. Deeply emotional, ARIELS could be unfairly called cheesy after a first listen. However, if you take the time to really absorb it, you'll realize the album is melancholic without being depressive, and it's sad without being sappy. And AS YOU FALL is one of the most heartbreaking song I have ever, ever heard. Listen free to Bent Ariels Comin' Back, Sunday 29th and more. 12 tracks 58:54. Album 2005 14 Songs. More By Bent. Bent really took a different aproach with this one, making an album that sounds more pop oriented, swapping a lot of synths and samples out with instruments and more vocal work. Still very warm, dreamy and colourful as always. But with this new sound, i feel like they left behind some of the quirkiness that i really loved about the previous two efforts from Bent. There are also a couple of tracks in the bunch i don't rate as highly as the rest, but it's hard to really find anything to complain. read more. 6mo
