The Ocean - Precambrian FULL ALBUM - Продолжительность: 1:34:27 Metal Blade Records 47 album and band every recommend to me by a friend. Favorite track: Hadopelagic II: Let Them Believe. David Fischer. David Fischer A seriously beautiful contribution to post-metal. The album truly sounds like a decent into deep waters. Light and friendly in the beginning and furious towards the end. A great, downward journey. The element can be felt here. Favorite track: Abyssopelagic II: Signals of Anxiety. Alex Jesus. Alex Jesus Concept album done at its finest. It's nice how both versions of the album can be different, yet completely amazing experiences. It's a must buy Fav. Pelagial is the sixth studio album by German progressive metal band The Ocean. It is a concept album with the track titles referencing, in descending fashion, the oceanic depth zones. Musically, the concept is explored by sequencing the music such that it is increasingly dark and claustrophobic in emulation of the diminishing light and increasing pressure that comes with oceanic descent. The album was initially conceived as an instrumental release, although vocals were subsequently added the band has. Raising the bar from previous concept albums the band has done, Pelagial is a multilayered concept album exploring different themes both lyrically and instrumentally. The title of the album references an open body of water and each track, in descending order, is named after the oceanic depth zones. Instrumentally, this theme of oceanic descent is built upon by the album progressively becoming darker, slower, and more claustrophobic. Album 2013 22 Songs. Lyrics of the album in certain tracks are taken from lines of the Russian science fiction movie Stalker from 1979. Recording information: Recorded between January 2012 and January 2013: drums recorded at Bikini Test, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The Ocean do for earth science class what Mastodon did for Melville: make learning brutal , Decibel wrote about 2007s Precambrian, Revolverdescribing it as a Teutonic paean to Earths geology. 2013s seminal Pelagial, described as a filmic ode to shifting moods, dichotomous influences and the musical personification of sinking towards the planets deepest underwater points by Rock Sound, was a milestone for the band, and their most conceptual work to date, and was ranked 3 at LoudWires Best Metal Albums Of 2013 , and 5 in s 2013 Best.
